It's hard to believe that it's already OCTOBER! Where did summer go?!
I realize that last Wednesday was the *official* start of fall.. and it's no longer sunflower maze season but corn maze season now lol, but I still feel like I have sooooo many un-blogged summer adventures! I'm backtracking a little bit today to a solo adventure I had in July at Alstede Farms. If you've been following my blog for a little while, you may remember my post from last fall about this place. It's one of my favorite farms in the area because of how big it is, and there always seems to be something fun going on during all 4 seasons! When I heard that they had a massive sunflower maze, I had to check it out because until this I had actually never been to one before!
The feeling of walking amongst a sea of yellow that towered over me was an instant mood booster! (sunflowers radiate ALLLL the good vibes!)
At the halfway point of the maze, there was a raised wooden platform that you could climb to see the entire field. I was alone, so I put my camera on the railing and set a self timer - ran down the stairs, and started to try to capture a decent selfie haha. Good thing it was a week day - so the maze wasn't crowded, lol. After some photos, I hung out there for a bit just enjoying the AMAZING view. I had never seen so many sunflowers all in one place before.
I'm sad to see summer go, but I'm super excited for fall things! I can't wait to go apple picking, carve pumpkins, and bake PIE!
What were some of your greatest adventures this summer? This sunflower maze was definitely a highlight of mine!
