I can't believe that Thanksgiving is already next week - where did November go?!
Today I just wanted to drop in and do a "photo dump" from a recent trip to one of our local farms: Riamede Farm. I visited back during October, but haven't gotten around to sharing on the blog until now!
Alstede Farms, another favorite of mine, is just up the road from Riamede - and I love them both for different reasons. Alstede definitely has a wider variety of PYO fruits / veggies, but Riamede is a much calmer environment. Especially on the weekends during the fall, Alstede can get pretty cRaY.
We picked apples - the "empire" ones were by far the best that day. We also snagged a few small pumpkins and some tomatoes. One of my favorite parts about Riamede is their amazing tomato selection - the orange cherry tomatoes there are TO-DIE-FOR.
We also got apple cider doughnuts on our way out because that is an obligatory purchase anytime we come here -- they always seem to be HOT and coming fresh out of the oven, and tbh that's the only way to eat 'em. ;)
It was the perfect fall day. ~
